Texas Workers' Comp Tightens Preauthorization Rules on PM&R and Chiropractic
The Evaluation Exchange learned today that the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission (TWCC) is planning to announce it's decision to adopt the proposed changes to Rule 134.6 regarding the mandatory preauthorization for chiropractic, physical medicine and rehab, and work hardening/conditioning services, among others, under the Texas Workers' Compensation System. The announcement is expected to occur at the public meeting scheduled for 10:30am on October 19, 2000 in the Tippy Foster Room at the main TWCC office in Austin, Texas.
