TrialsCentral.org Launched to Help Remove Barriers to Finding Clinical Trials Information
PROVIDENCE, RI - When new healthcare devices, procedures, drugs, or other interventions are developed they must be tested in carefully designed and monitored clinical trials. A new Website, TrialsCentral?, http://www.TrialsCentral.org, has been launched to help make information about clinical trials more available. It was developed by a group led by Kay Dickersin, Director of the Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence-based Healthcare at Brown University and Director of the New England Cochrane Center Providence Office. The TrialsCentral? Website contains information about clinical trials as well as links to databases of ongoing and completed clinical trials for a variety of medical conditions.
