Medical Device Group, Inc., an innovator of proprietary disposable medical devices today announced it has successfully completed its funding round through angel investors.

Founded in 1997 by inventor Clifford Wright, Medical Device Group (MDG) is focused on developing, patenting and distributing product solutions in the disposable medical device market. The primary focus is on the respiratory product market and MDG has four patented products scheduled for market distribution in 2003: (1) Tri-Plex Adapter, a disposable ventilator adapter designed to streamline patient care and decrease exposure to infections, (2) Quick and Easy Cannula, a major improvement in comfort for the nasal administration of oxygen, (3) Wright's Suction Kit and Holster, a storage device and Yankauer suction unit that reduces exposure to bacteria, and (4) Stable-Line IV Site Protector, a simple, durable and effective intravenous catheter securement device.

The respiratory product market is over $5 billion annually and a large amount of that is for disposable, single-patient-use devices, our primary target."

In addition to financing Medical Device Group's day-to-day operations, the capital will allow the manufacturing and distribution of initial products and fund further product development. More than seven other products are in various stages of development by the company.

The round was led by Sunrise Capital, Inc. of Las Vegas, Nevada and included experienced medical and technology luminaries.
